It’s probably easier to stop a speeding train than it is to convince the former members of the Black Tartan Clan to end their musical adventure. After a short break due to a lineup change in 2017, the wearers of the Black Kilts have reformed the ranks and changed their name to ‘Black Tartans’. The new formation now has 7 members and a solid experience of live and studio work.
Musically, the band continues to bring an energetic mix between traditional Celtic instruments (bagpipes and banjo) and punk rock sounds inspired by the Dropkick Murphys, Pipes and Pints, Real McKenzies and others.
After a forced pandemic break, this 100% Belgian group (Walloon, Flemish and Brussels musicians!) is recording its first album which they hope to release before the end of 2022. A new video clip is also on the way.
