Born in Mexico City and raised between Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom, Marion Raw’s music embodies a nomadic identity.

She blends folk tradition with underground indie aesthetics in what she calls “Bolero Garage” — a style that shifts between ghostly country blues, Spanish-language folk ballads, and the rebellious irreverence of punk.

Her songs sound like unearthed relics: intimate, raw, and cinematic. Her voice carries the power of rockabilly, the theatrical drama of bolero, and the introspective sincerity of folk. A sense of poetic defiance runs through her work, weaving a sound that is both nostalgic and disarmingly hypnotic in its beauty.

Her upcoming EP, “Palabras en un Bar” (set for release in 2026 on Arts & Crafts), marks a new chapter in her career. Her latest single, “Castillos”, reveals her fusion of raw intimacy and cinematic scope, positioning Marion Raw as one of the most distinctive voices in the Latin American independent scene.

From the very first listen, Marion Raw’s music instantly draws you in — through its imagery, atmosphere, and the sensation of watching Lynchian worlds unfold, as well as through the vivid and extraordinary landscapes of Mexico.
