Tardigrad is a death metal band from namur (Belgium).

Tardigrad deliver an uncompromisingly fiery metal sound : guttural vocals, heavy riffs, harmonies and well-crafted solos.

The band develops a death sound with groove and melodic influences.

The band defend their debut ep Cryptobiosis (2020).
Focusing on resilience, societal pressure and its invisible shackles, this first project marks the band’s debut on the Belgian scene.

Tardigrad is Laurent Tonizzo (guitar&vocals), Christophe Michel (guitar), Nicolas Prtetelle (drums), Maurizio Vallesi (bass) and Hory Laurent (vocals).

Tardigrad release their second ep “Desiccation” on september 15, 2023.

Desiccation is a state of extreme dryness. An emptiness of substance explored in this ep in the form of the rawest connection to death.

A return to a primordial fear and the very essence of life: a terror that has become tangible, reconnecting us with our most primal instincts and sweeping away the comfortable illusions that cradle our daily lives. A solemn reminder sounding the riddance of an asepticlife.

A first single “soul streak” was released on 20/05/2023.
A second eponymous single is released on 28/07/2023.
