Formed in 2020 by Aaron Matts (ex-Betraying The Martyrs), Ten56. quickly made waves across the globe. Imagine a furious cocktail of deathcore, nu-metal, and industrial. Heavy, abrasive, and brimming with tension. In September 2025, the band doubled down with “IO,” a new album where blast beats, guttural vocals, and massive breakdowns follow one another relentlessly. To get a taste, just drop “I Know Where You Sleep”: less than two minutes is all it takes to understand what you’re in for. A little tidbit for the curious: Ten56. is said to be a reference to the American police code 10-56, signaling a “pedestrian intoxicated”… or even a suicide. But is there a radio code to alert backup to the arrival of an uncontrollable mosh pit? If that’s not the case, they might have to invent it during their set.
